Hello, I’m Mayumi, the founder, maker, and heart behind Abi Kaya Creates®.

Abi Kaya Creates® exists to bring joy, beauty, and meaning through natural perfumery and thoughtful handmade gifting creations.

After years in public service, and now also serving as a registered migration agent, I launched Abi Kaya Creates® as a way to reconnect with what I love and to share that joy with others through thoughtful experiences and handcrafted pieces.

What does “Abi Kaya” mean?

The name reflects my belief in creating and serving with purpose and joy. Abi is short for Abigail, meaning “my father’s joy” or “my father is joy,” while Kaya (pronounced kah-yah) is a Filipino word meaning “can,” as in “I can do it.” Together, Abi Kaya expresses my conviction that through faith, creativity, and perseverance, joy and possibility can be shared with others.

Everything I create and share through Abi Kaya Creates® is inspired by beauty, truth, and purposeful creation. My hope is that each offering brings a small moment of warmth, creativity, or connection to those who encounter it.
